Sub-25 kg Multirotor

The standard commercial category — the class rating most professional drone work sits inside.

Course Overview

Almost all commercial drone work in both Nepal and Australia is flown by a multirotor under 25 kilograms. This is the category rating that covers it, and for most pilots it is the only class rating they will ever need.

The course concentrates on operating the class safely across the conditions the work actually presents — confined sites, wind off buildings and ridgelines, marginal light, and payloads that change how the aircraft handles.

It is normally taken as part of, or immediately after, the remote pilot licence.

PrerequisitesTaken with, or after, remote pilot licence training.
FormatCombined theory and practical, usually run alongside the licence course.
