Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate

Radio procedure and phraseology — required the moment your work takes you near controlled airspace.

Course Overview

If your work takes you near an aerodrome or into controlled airspace, you will need to talk to air traffic services — and the radio is not a place to improvise. Aviation phraseology exists because ambiguity on a frequency gets people killed.

This course teaches the standard: how transmissions are structured, the phraseology that carries specific meaning, and what to do when you have missed a call or need to declare a problem.

It is short, and it is the qualification that unlocks a large amount of otherwise inaccessible work.

PrerequisitesSuitable alongside or after remote pilot licence training.
FormatShort course — typically one to two days including assessment.
