Emergency Services & Response

Rapid tasking, scene mapping and working alongside responders when the situation is still moving.

Course Overview

Response flying is different from every other kind of drone work. The tasking is urgent, the information is incomplete, the site is not controlled, and there may be crewed aircraft operating in the same airspace with a higher priority than yours.

Nepal's exposure to earthquake, landslide and flood makes this capability genuinely consequential. A rapid orthomosaic of a blocked road or a collapsed slope, delivered in the first hours, changes decisions.

This course covers the flying and, just as importantly, the discipline of operating inside somebody else's incident command structure without becoming a hazard.

PrerequisitesRemote pilot licence and current flying. Response experience is an advantage.
FormatTheory plus scenario-based practical exercises. Delivered to agency teams at your site.
LocationsKathmandu, Nepal · Brisbane, Australia · or at your site
